A Step towards Sustainable Concrete with Substitution of Plastic Waste in Concrete: Overview on Mechanical, Durability and Microstructure Analysis

Plastics have become an essential part of our daily lives, and global plastic production has increased dramatically in the past 50 years. This significantly amount garbage produced. Researchers recently been interested using trash recyclable plastics concrete as ecologically acceptable building material. A large number publications published that describe behavior concrete, containing waste recovered com ponents. However, information is scattered, no one knows how behaves materials. research examines use (PW) aggregate or fiber cement mortar manufacturing. The article reviewed three most significant features concrete: fresh properties, mechanical strength, durability. PW connections were also studied microstructure analysis (scan electronic microscopy). results showed PW, a fiber, enhanced performance, but coarse aggregate, impaired performance owing to poor bonding. assessment identified needs order enhance PW-based future.
